That’s an entire conversation in itself. But this was just a joke shared in a fun moment,” she emphasised.

The controversy began on an episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar, where the group was asked whether emotional cheating or physical cheating is worse. While Kajol, Karan and Twinkle suggested that physical slip-ups might be forgiven with time, Janhvi Kapoor firmly disagreed, saying physical betrayal is a complete deal-breaker. Twinkle’s casual “raat gayi, baat gayi” line, a phrase meant to indicate moving on, triggered immediate criticism online, with many viewers praising Janhvi for taking a hard stand and calling out the others for normalising infidelity.
